Da Dears diamonds are grown in a state-of-the-art advanced laboratory where high-pressure and high-temperature is used, the same process duplicated from mother earth formed 3 billion years ago, under conditions of high-pressure and high-temperature, 100 miles deep inside the earth, and carried to the surface by volcanic eruptions millions of years ago.

It starts with a tiny diamond seed, graphite, and a catalyst. During the process, a growth cell is heated to a temperature over 1,300 degrees Celsius and over 50,000 atmospheres of pressure is applied to create the exact conditions needed to grow a diamond crystal. The graphite dissolves in the catalyst and through a controlled cooling process, the carbon atoms build layer by layer upon the crystal structure of the diamond seed. After several days, the rough diamond reaches a few carats in weight. At this point, the diamond can be cut and polished the same as any earth-grown mined diamond.
